Argentina Maza Ruil Container House
This project utilizes the characteristics of shipping containers, integrating engineering technology with spatial design to create a unique living experience that fully demonstrates the challenge and innovation against spatial constraints.
Analyzing the container as an architectural element, we delved into the limits and challenges at a scale of 2.4m x 2.4m x 12m, combined with a self-weight of 4000 kg and a load capacity of 28000 kg, prompting us to collaborate closely with engineer Jorge Meztegui. Faced with geometric complexity, center of gravity balancing, stress distribution, and asymmetry, we iteratively drew, tested, and validated structural safety, seeking to transcend the boundaries of singular material works.
This project integrates sensory enjoyment, technology, and residential functions into one, balancing spatial needs with natural integration through exquisite design to stimulate a passion for life. The innovative suspended structure validates, opening up urban views and sharing the beauty of Yanglin. Floor entrances lead to new experiences, hidden facades reveal themselves, and the concept of suspension is integrated into living, creating diverse interactive spaces.
